I’ve been going to photography meet ups since 2016 and they definitely helped me up my game as a photographer, especially at night. Would you ever go to one of these or even host one in your city?

alright guys so I told you I was going to bring you back weekly vlogs so tonight I am in lower grand right now in Los Angeles downtown Los Angeles headed to 80ft I meet up Street meet photo meet whatever you want to call it meeting up with a bunch of other photographers so also today spider-man comes out so you know I had to come through I had to come through let's get started let's get into the photo meet up and let's have a good time [Applause] all right put the photo Meetup no big deal the police came gave a guy a ticket they said come on not all cops are bad but those gaps were pretty shitty hey I'm gonna go home edit everything and then I'm working for Sigma lenses tomorrow I'm super excited I'll see you guys enjoy the edits actually what's up guys I wanted to talk to you about these photography meetups real quick I wanted to talk a little bit more about it I know you've seen a little bit of footage from this now I'm gonna show you a bunch of footage of me editing these photos that I took at this Meetup and so you'll see a little bit of my process it's gonna be a little bit of a time lapse kind of situation so you'll get to see the process if you guys are interested I do have presets that are used and tweaked in this they're the link to them is down below if you guys are interested in in presets if you guys are looking for those kind of things for your own photos if you want to mess around with some of my presets I would be honored to have you do that so I'm gonna give you guys a discount so check it out links down in the description if you're interested but I go to these photography meetups because well they changed my life in 2016 I went to my first photographer Meetup and it was spider-man themed and that kind of showed me a whole new world of cosplaying in public as a model and that's something that I I've always cosplay did I've always been in a costume I was the mascot for my school's when I was in high school I've always loved putting costumes on especially masks I like that my face is covered and nobody knows who I am so for me cosplaying as Spidey was the perfect the perfect way for me to test out modeling and being in front of the camera and it also gives me a chance to you know be more comfortable in my own skin and this is this is a huge part of me expressing myself so I've loved going to these photographer meetups because I can be myself not only as a photographer but as a as a performer as a model as a cosplayer as a person I and I get a kick out of it and people love the suit and if you guys want to know where I got the suit is from the RPC studio they are based out of Thailand it took like seven weeks for them to make my suit it was custom design custom fit to my body yeah if you guys are looking for a suit I highly recommend these guys they do a great job at making their suits and I will definitely be using them again for my next suit that I get made which will also probably be a snooze button just a new spider-man suit these photography meet ups I like to explain them like the fast and the furious if you've ever seen any of those movies they basically like text you the location and the time of the race and you show up and you race so it's kind of like that except we use Instagram so they post a flyer on Instagram with the location the date and the time and you show up and it could be 12 people it could be 300 people you just don't know until you get there that's what makes these photo meetups so exciting you just don't know what's gonna happen there's nothing really scheduled or planned some people plan to do like little performance pieces or whatever fire-breathers show up people a smoke-grenade show up other cosplayers models other photographers people with their cars people with their dogs kids so kids get a chance to try out you know modeling in front of the camera I mean if you're an artist it's a great way to get some free promos and if you end up using those promos you can actually then pay that photographer so you go get a bunch of free photos and then if you want to use one of them as like a promo flyer or something like that you can just pay that photographer that took that photo from the Meetup super cool and the best part about this stuff is that it's free you know buddy you don't have to pay for it all you have to pay for is parking basically or any tickets if you break the law but I mean they're super very very conscious about like the rules and all that kind of stuff we don't want to get in trouble we don't want anybody to get arrested anything like that there have been incidents where riot police have been called I'm if you guys want to hear more about that actually you'll hear a little bit about it on the new episode of project freelancer that comes out that is actually out this week with my friend Tom Oh is dead if you guys want to hear about more about the photo meetups you can listen to that podcast we dive into it a bit more there and other than that I wanted to just say for all those photographers out there watching this video if you are inspired by what you've seen not only in my video but on Instagram if you look up like TF ti LA conquer LA Street Milla Street meet LA there's so many different photo meet opportunities out here in Los Angeles and that's awesome but I think this opportunity should be available in more cities so all you got to do is start posting about it start hosting meetups start finding your tribe in your city start getting creative with other people in your city all you got to do is post on Instagram people will show up if they find it if they can find it they'll show up so you just have to put it in front of their faces and people will start showing up and people will start telling their friends and they'll start sharing their photos and you use the hashtag and it gains traction and then it becomes this huge community that you've built because you love creating art so yeah that's my advice you just start posting start start making it happen and good luck to you go out there go create something straight stay strong keep enduring and I will see you guys in the next video I appreciate it come back on Friday for an LGBT video and we have a vlog every week thank you guys
