a good rule of thumb when trying to figure out what light is the best to shoot in is the longer the shadow the better the light and all you have to do is stand there and look you looking at the ground and you see what your shadow is looking like it's just pulling in a little puddle at your feet the lights probably not that good it's probably high noon but earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon you'll see that the shadows get very very long and that's usually beautiful light so that's what you want to look for
