what's up guys so the question of the day for this video is going to be should you guys give a discount to your first-time clients so when I first started out this is something I used to do whether it's giving a discount for a photography session like 100 bucks off fifty bucks off or a video session where I was giving like 100 bucks off 200 bucks off because I wanted to acquire that client I wanted to show them that I'm gonna give you a discount because I'm gonna provide a high-quality work or create high-quality videos for your business or for you and your personal brand that you're gonna want to come back for more and what I found about this is those clients usually tell you that if you guys give them a discount they're definitely gonna be coming back for more they've got 10 different videos they want to create and that they're just gonna want to keep working with you if you give them that discount and after be in this industry for about two years that's never gonna be the case they're always gonna want that discount that short quick discount so they can save a quick buck you create that video and it's a one-off client and 75% of the times that's usually the case so my tip for you is don't undervalue yourself as a creative just because you want to make that quick buck or because you want that client to keep coming back for more and you believe them sometimes that's the case but for the most part I don't know if you guys could agree with me but usually that's not the case let me know in the comments if this has happened to you or the worst thing that's happened to you when you give a discount or even work for free because the clients said that to you if you want to value yourself as a creative you have to stand your ground with your pricing because at the end of the day if you discount your price you're gonna create discounted type of work so you're gonna lack in your creativity sometimes because you're not getting paid for the work you're putting in and sometimes that's not the case but for the most part I myself when I feel like I'm giving a discount and that client doesn't value me as a creative to pay my full price I'm gonna kind of lack off in the production or the post-production because that person does appreciate me as a creative for me I'll give a discount to a recurring client so someone who's came back two or three or four times you know now I know that they actually love my work that they value me as a creative and I'll give him a discount because they're loyal to me but starting out that's something I don't really do unless I really know them as a person I really know that I could help them with this video and that it's gonna be beneficial for them and they value me but for the most part it was a random person reaching out to me asking for a discount right off the bat before we even talked about any strategies for their video they want to create then most likely not I'm not gonna give them a discount because I don't need to undercut myself as a creative I know my work is great I know my service is gonna be valuable for them in their business that I don't need to save an extra 100 bucks or 200 bucks or whatever it may be that you want to discount them so that's it for this video it's a quick one guys so let me know in the comments you've if you guys found this helpful Tyger Fred tiger creative and let's chat in the comments
