Follow award winning wedding photographer Jason Lanier as he teaches a group of 10 photographers how to improve their photography skills at a REAL Wedding at the Disneyland Hotel. This isn’t a staged event, it’s holding a workshop at a live, real wedding.
Jason Lanier is the industry leader at Real Wedding Workshops as he believes the only way to improve the photography skill level of the industry is through teaching at real events.
With the permission of the bride and groom, Jason takes the workshop attendees on a 2-day adventure to show them the REAL side of being a wedding photographer, not the staged events that most photography workshops consist of that really teach you little to nothing.
In this video which is Part #1, we follow Jason as he takes the group of workshop attendees through a series of events on Day #1, which is held prior to the wedding day.
On Day 1 Jason holds a consultation with the group to help prepare them for the 2 day event and to show them how he shoots. He then sits down with the bride and groom for a consultation with the workshop attendees right there to listen as to how he interacts with the couple, the conversation that they have together, and to answer any concerns the couple may have.
After that they head out for a real engagement shoot at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art LACMA where Jason prepares the group showing them how to shoot as a bigger body of photographers, showing them how he poses, sets his exposure, white balance and more.
After that they attend a wedding rehearsal with the full family and Disney Representatives at the Disneyland Hotel. This will show the viewer just how he works at a rehearsal, how to prepare a group and also to plan for having a second photographer. During this portion Jason fields questions from the group that any aspiring wedding photographer should learn from.
Finally once the rehearsal is over Jason takes the team to Tortilla Jo’s for a team building dinner where he helps bring all these strangers together into a single working unit.
This is the REAL deal, this is the kind of workshop you take if you want to improve your skills and build your portfolio. For more information please visit www.realweddingphotoworkshop.com
