hey guys it's your girls in here and for those of you who don't know me I'm a full-time food blogger and today I'll be shooting at one of my clients restaurants called samovar tea and they are located in the beautiful year before I ordered the favorite so I'll be shooting some content for their website social media channels and I'll see you guys along the ride I'll give you the best tips and tricks is setting up overhead shots and you get the best food porn images and how to really make your photos come to life but first it would mean the world to me if you supported my channel and hit that subscribe button alright guys now let's get into the video waste my time this is one of the first photos that I've taken first in Hobart and that was like three years ago and and it was taken on an iPhone which means that if any of you guys are looking into photography are getting your feet wet all you need is an iPhone camera or any cell phone camera you don't need a fancy DSLR needs like Mike's is my first time seeing it but baby I because of the lighting we decided to move everything outside I'm gonna show you guys how much better this this is our setup here see how the light is so even there's no harsh direct sunlight meeting anywhere on the table there's also no beer yellow might come from above so this is the perfect scenario stood overhead shot now I'm gonna start to stage everything so this is their red basket which looks amazing since it's really really big and it's a little bit of activist we're gonna put it towards the end so doesn't this strap from everything else and you see these beautiful teeth if I'm gonna do an overhead shot I won't be able to see the top because it's just sober so what I'm gonna do is pour it in these little cups and you see how it just adds a very beautiful green to the table so now I have two options with this type of plate you see how this sandwich wow that looks amazing from the side if you look at it from the top down you can't really see how pretty is on the other side so instead I'm gonna show with this one now looking at what we have here the others two goals next to each other so I'm gonna do movies to around I never knew how much effort it takes to take food pictures really underestimated food bloggers you guys it's a very tough job it is a tough job and we sit there and you watch your food get cold by the way this toast is their banana almond toast and it's so freaking hot a little bit of bee pollen inside [Applause] if I always try to play with my food so that I can bring the foods to life and make it look way more lively so here's an example and action another tip for you guys is if you guys are shooting beautiful sandwiches like these you don't want to shoot them top-down so that's all you're gonna see is the red right so you want to shoot them from the side and to make it look even cooler you want to stack them together like this much better right so this piece of onion was just hanging off you don't want to make sure that everything is cleaned up before you shoot there is one time Gregor this whole shoe and there's this ugly piece of leather it's just hanging off of a burger and none other I hope you guys enjoy this video if any of these tips help you out on your food photography journey let me know in the comments below and if you haven't subscribed yet pretty please hit that subscribe button and I'll see you guys next time is every month later
