hanging garments on a hanger can also give them a really nice shape it's a very quick and easy way to shoot garments and I'm going to show you how so first thing to really watch out for is that we're nice and even on the hanger we want to be nice and straight the other thing is pop your seams up onto the top of the hanger making sure that you're ending towards the sleeve we've got a lot of folded arms going on here it's not looking wonderful at the moment so what I'm going to first of all do is tuck the arm under under the jumper this will help to flatten down the arm but also show off more of the body of the sweater coming down here I want to make sure that where these creases do happen they happen nice and evenly and at the bottom is straight I can also use some tape here on the background to simply keep the arms in place now be careful with taping what you don't want to do is have the garment pull at the tape and it will distort the garment now the important thing to remember about this style is it's meant to be quite casual and natural so don't over style it what I'm going to do now is I'm just going to change the light direction I'm going for the Sun on this side creating shadow down in this area here so again it's it's quite fun quite natural way of shooting stuff so I'm going to go ahead and take this picture now styling stuff on a hanger can be very simple to achieve but it's very effective using gravity to shape the garment and just adding a little bit of fine-tuning where necessary
