the person that I want to introduce he is actually interestingly enough the youngest person who has ever been a student here on creativeLIVE he's also very very passionate about photography so I'd like to bring up Trevor Trevor come on up welcome my friend have a seat okay so you my friend 13 years old yes I how long have you been hog referred uh since I was about 12 my family went on a trip to Yellowstone okay um and before that I was using the app Instagram and I really loved photography and then Mike my parents had a DSLR so we went to Yellowstone I started taking tons of pictures and that's how I really got into it that's awesome and so you started out being really interested in in landscapes is that right is that kind of what started at all mhm and what else do you shoot now I shoot lots of things I shoot nature animals if I can uh sports portraits you know whatever I whatever gonna do I shot a wedding which is really really cool when did you shoot that wedding a few months ago I was four my cousins and there was a secondary photographer there but I thought it would be awesome experience just to get to know weddings and how they work and everything and how did you feel about it like what was what was the actual day like did you feel a lot of pressure um not really I just felt I kind of went with the flow tried not to get in the way of everything um but yeah I met with the photographer we talked and I said I would really recommend is working with another photographer just to see what they do before you actually full-on go it just by yourself but yeah I had a lot of fun and I think it was not very pressure but this one yeah and now obviously was family so you know people knew who you were but did you feel any extra pressure because of your age um well the captain because it was on a boat I was kind of like oh this is the with one of the photographer's wait no I thought you know he was kind of surprised at my age but I think that everyone was after got comfortable after a little while that's really cool so let's take a brief look at some of your actual images we're going to pull them up here and your website there is at the bottom of the screen it's tea photo – video dot SmugMug coms people want to go check it out so this tell us a little bit about each of these pictures while I was in Hawaii and I really really wanted to get the sunset so I was switching lenses frantically I still have sanded my tripod from having it but I thought I'd get nice and low try to get shoot through the rocks just to get that sunset and it turned out really good I love that it's beautiful see you next one here this is from the wedding that I shot and now that I think of it learning all the things from Jim that I could actually use that to jump into a new page so yeah I just thought that was cool I totally unexpected he was getting kind of silly as they call it so I was like okay I'm just gonna speed up my shutter speed a little bit and here jump in the air man that is awesome you guys he's already taking this and putting this into practice that was so cool I love it next one oh this was another fun one from their wedding bride and groom and I try to get that lines coming in and so you were pulled into the bride groom it works I love it this was in Hawaii I had a 90 millimeter macro lens and I was shooting up so that's why the background is a little bit blown out but I tried it I saw the rain drop so we were on the top and I was like oh this is such an amazing shot so it's beautiful yeah I love all the detail was great oh this is a no shot I also with the 90 I thought it kind of like pulled you around up to that purple and in the background I thought was really pretty just the green and the outflows it's a great look I mean with the with everything else on a focus it really does draw your eye in right there into the purple in the Senate it's beautiful uh this is shot uh so I actually can kind of see it but there was a ton of cars on the street right there they're like you know new Volvo's and you know that stuff so I I photoshopped that out and then they're like telephone wires so I try to make it as old as possible as I can so it's looking out on the City of Seattle it's really really cool I'm very impressed this is from the wedding just all the lines kind of bringing you in to where the reception was this kid I tell you sorry I don't mean to say yeah for like less than a year of shooting basically and you're doing this sort of work that's amazing now you as I understand it are kind of being mentored by Jim is that is that true yep he's taught me all Photoshop and techniques for shooting he helped me with some what let the wedding you know just what lens I should use and stuff and then I've also shot catalog with him and and I was told that you have actually been able to run the camera during that catalog shoot house it was kind of crazy because I was shooting but we were shooting with the phase one so I walked in and I got to skip school that day which was totally awesome nice um but he showed me all the controls because we were using capture one so you know command K to take the picture um he's like okay good luck and he walked upstairs to photoshop all the pictures and I'm like okay so I'm shooting all the pictures now so I shot the entire day and it was just me and the manager for the company and we just shot the entire day and the pictures are now up on the website it's totally awesome I love it I love I mean for one fact that like many many of the professional photographers out there haven't even tested phase one so congratulations that's exciting for you my husband started early yeah um so what is your favorite thing then about working with Jim uh how nice he is he's he's super good mentor he's caring and he's let me he's lent me a few cameras that this was super helpful when I went to Hawaii I had a camera and the shutter had broken I was like aha so he left he loaned me a camera and it was totally awesome and I got to shoot with that so I got all these amazing pictures like some of you see up here that is so great well congratulations you are I love to see and I know that everyone out there on the internet loves to see people with passionate about photography and who are excited about what they're doing and to be able to be doing such great work at such a young age and having just started you go in places congratulation cool thank you for being here thank you for talking to us simple round of applause you
